Description: A long, narrow teal board with a small square missing in its bottom left corner serves as the background for this piece. The piece is detailed with looping waves, which may be glued string, or something like paint or marker. Seven small fish of simple shape and a single eye detail are scattered throughout the waves. The profile of a swimmer mid-stroke is attached to this background. The swimmer’s head is down, and attached to a circle that represents the knot of her shoulders. A smooth arc of a body is attached to the shoulders, ending in elevated, projecting feet. The swimmer’s arms are made from two thin, curved pieces of wood that end in curlicues. Her right arm is fully extended in-front of her, while her left arm is in recovery.

Description: This simple piece shows a bird in profile, and is made of just tree wooden pieces. The largest piece is the bird’s body and beak, which is in the shape of the curl and lobe of a question mark that’s fallen backwards. A wooden disc is added to represent the bird’s eye, and a wooden curve projects from the side of the piece, to represent the bird’s wing.
