Description: Inside different compartment shelves are various faces and figures of different sizes, shapes, and colors. Two full figures, a man and a woman, are near the center. The woman is tall and standing. Behind her head is a paper sky with clouds. The man is sitting, with the same paper sky behind his head. Above him are two faces facing one another. A smiling face is to the right, as well as various wooden forms filling up three compartments. To the left of the woman are three forms. One is recognized as a face with a nose. Between the figures is a small literal stick figure from the waist up.

Description: This piece shows two similarly-scaled figures engrossed in conversation. An unidentified female figure sits on Van Gogh’s yellow chair (Van Gogh’s chair, 1888, Vincent can Gogh, Dutch, Zundert 1853-1890 Auvers-sur-Oise, The National Gallery). She wears only a small white cloth around her waist, and crosses her left leg atop her left. Her arms are braced behind her head. The unidentified male figure stands on his right leg, his left leg bent forward, foot resting on the bottom run of her chair. He’s leaned over his left leg, towards her, with his left elbow resting on his knee. The two figures are aligned as if making eye contact.

Description: Two wooden clogs are affixed vertically to the inside of an upright wooden box, representing two heads. The openings of the clogs represent mouths, from which wooden tongues emerge. The toes of the clogs narrow into a point at the top of their heads. Twin discs are attached to each shoe to represent eyes. Narrow, finished wooden forms connect the bottom of the wood box to the clogs, to represent their necks.

Description: This piece fixtures one seated figure and one standing figure. The base of this piece is a small, rectangular block of wood. One figure stands in the background, while the other figure sits in the foreground, turned towards the left, to appear in profile. The standing figure is made of six pieces. Three identical, thin wooden forms constitute the figure’s two legs and torso. A round ball sits atop the torso, representing the figure’s head. Arms are attached at either side, made of thin wooden pieces that end in three tines and resembling delicate forks. The seated figure is also quite simple: a thin torso is topped in a round ball of a head, two thin, flat arms rest atop legs bent in right angles and ending in small feet.
