Materials and Techniques: Wooden clock case, body of plastic baby doll, acrylic eyelashes, wooden beads, wooden form
Description: The body of a plastic baby doll has been stuffed upside-down into the wooden case of a clock. The face and pendulum of the clock have been removed, allowing the belly and chest of the doll’s body to be exposed through the openings. On the reverse side, the doll’s behind is exposed through an additional opening in the clock’s case. Small wooden beads are attached to the two areas of the body where the doll’s hips meets the doll’s legs. Below this area, in the area of the doll’s belly button, a thin wooden form that resembles a popsicle-stick with its rounded end protrudes from the surface of the plastic. At the bottom end of this doll’s body, in the area of its chest, two acrylic eyelashes are placed next to one another vertically, with their arches curved away from one another.
