Materials and Techniques: Wooden forms, wooden puppet head, red and white paint
Description: A horizontal, rectangular wooden form with rounded corners is painted with a glossy red paint. White lines are painted onto its surface to create the impression of bricks. The of a Chinese puppet is attached to the top of this “brick wall.” Narrow, rounded wooden forms are attached to the wall on each side of the puppet’s head, representing his fingers which give the impression that this puppet is holding himself up with his hands so he can peer over the brick wall.
