The top of each form represents her shoulders and the bottom of each form represents her seated bottom. A yellow bikini is painted onto the wooden form on the left and a red bikini is painted onto the wooden form on the right. Thin, curving wooden forms are attached on both sides of the women’s bodies, representing their arms. Both of their right arms are raised, while their left arms are at their sides. A round wooden form is attached to the top of each of their bodies, representing their heads. The head of the woman on the left is colored yellow and the head of the woman on the right is colored black. A piece of canvas fabric wrapped around a rounded piece of wood is attached to each of their heads, representing sun hats. The hat on the left is green and the hat on the right is white. The wooden board provides the beach setting for these two sunbathers. The upper register of the board is painted a light blue color representing the ocean, with painted squiggles of white paint representing waves. The lower register of the board is covered in glittering brown paper , representing a sandy beach. A seashell is attached to the surface of the board, resting on the sand to the left of the woman in the red bikini.
