Materials and Techniques:  Wooden shoe lasts, wooden sticks, wooden base
Description: Two wooden shoe lasts rest on a round wooden base. The tops of the shoes face each other, attached by a metal hinge at their heels. The heel of each shoe last rests on the base, while the toe portion of each shoe last points diagonally upwards. Clusters of thin wooden sticks the size of spaghetti noodles connect the two shoe lasts. The clusters are woven through the round holes on the surface of each of the shoe lasts’ arch and extend to the holes of the other shoe last’s arch. Two larger clusters of wooden sticks are each woven through a hole on one of the shoe last’s arch. Both of these clusters protrude diagonally upward towards one another, their pointed tips intersecting and overlapping.
