Materials and Techniques:  Wooden frame, wooden board, bamboo, wooden stamps, black acrylic brush bristles
Description: A variety of wooden forms articulate the surface of a vertical, rectangular wooden board in a thin wooden frame. Together, these forms represent a face. Two arched bamboo fragments outline the chin area and head area of the face. Within the head region, two wooden stamps of the letter “O” are placed side by side to represent eyes. Brush bristles are attached to the upper arches of each letter “O,” representing eyelashes. Below, a wooden stamp with an upside-down letter “y” represents a nose. Below that, within the chin region, a wooden stamp of the letter “U” represents the mouth. Brush bristles are attached above this stamp to represent a mustache.
