Description: A thin rectangular wooden form serves as the base onto which a broken blue and yellow colored ski fragment is attached. The ski’s broken jagged edge is pointed upwards and the front portion of the ski points forwards. A plastic doll’s leg is attached at the point of the doll’s thigh to the surface of the ski. Its foot extends upwards, to the side of the ski, with toes pointed upwards; a posture that suggests a precarious moment.

Note: This piece was inspired by a real life event: Norman was involved in a skiing accident that resulted in a broken ski when skiing in Livigno, Italy in 1978. This piece was created soon thereafter using the broken ski from the accident.
