Description: A rectangular wooden board with an arched top serves as a base for this wall-mounted piece. The form of a giraffe’s head is mounted in a similar manner to how the head’s of trophy game animals are mounted. An animal horn represents the giraffe’s neck, its thicker portion connected to the base. Two wooden shoe lasts are attached to each other horizontally at the ankle and to the tapered end of the animal horn, representing the giraffe’s eyes. The heel portion of a wooden shoe last projects from the area where the two eyes meet, representing the giraffe’s nose. Two identical, small, rounded wooden forms are attached vertically at the top of the giraffe’s head, representing ears.
