Date: Before Dec 1988
Subject: Bird
Measurements: Unknown
Materials and Techniques: Wood cogs, thin wood dowels, assorted wooden forms
Description: Assorted wooden pieces are assembled to form a bird. A short cylinder forms the body of the bird. Another cylinder is attached on top of this in the same dark wood, representing the bird’s head. Two blocks emerge from either side of the cylinder to represent eyes, and a long piece with a round hole at the end projects forward to represent the bird’s beak. Below the body of the bird, two long, flat light-colored pieces of wood form the bird’s feet. The bird’ last feature is a fanned tail, formed from over twenty long, thin, wooden sticks.
