Subject: Two faces looking away from another
Measurements: Unknown
Materials and Techniques: Wood slice from tree trunk, plastic or glass eyeballs, assorted wooden forms
Description: An upright, porous wooden rectangle serves as the base of this piece. A cross-section of tree sits atop this. The tree ring is irregularly shaped, with a significant knob on the upper left side, and an incision on the middle of the right side. Two dark arcs intersect the ring and each other, forming two overlapping circles with the outer edge of the tree ring. Each circle has been turned into a face. Wooden elements have been added to the face on the left to represent an open mouth and an eyebrow. The knob of the ring serves as a nose, and an artificial eye with eyelashes completes the picture. On the right, a wooden eyebrow and eye with eyebrow have been added.
