Description: A wooden grinder is attached vertically at the end of its ribbed handle to the left end of a wooden form that serves as its base. This form appears as a rectangular block, but its dimensions increase from left to right, forming a diagonal surface for the base. A horizontal metal wire extends from the right side of the top of the grinder to the midsection of a wooden spatula. The spatula is situated vertically and tilted slightly backwards so that the handle of the spatula extends slightly forward. The bottom of the spatula is over an inch above the surface of the base and therefore does not touch the base.
Signed: “NSG” engraved on bottom of base
Note: Exhibited as #41 “Dualism” at Duncan Campbell’s gallery in 1994. Cost: 950 British pounds.
