The toe portion of the iron shoe last points outwards and extends beyond the walls of the box-like form. The wooden portion of the shoe last extends upward, almost reaching the top wall of the box. The toe portion of this shoe last represents a man’s feet and the cylindrical portion of this shoe last represents his body and face. Paper cutouts of eyes and lips are attached to the surface of this cylindrical form, and a large, triangular wooden form projects from it, representing the man’s large nose.
