Materials and Techniques: Wooden block, wicker carpet beaters
Description: Two wicker carpet beaters represent a pair of dancing figures. The tops of the beaters represent the dancer’s heads. The beaters’ handles are partially unraveled at the opposite end, forming two legs on each figure. The dance partners are posed in a waltzing position, his arm on her waist and her arm on his shoulder. The woman leads the next step as she takes one step backwards. A wooden block serves as the base for the piece.
