Materials and Techniques: Wooden boxes, wooden shoe lasts, blue paint
Description: Two shallow boxes of the same size are stacked on their sides, one on top of the other. Six heel portions of shoe lasts are attached to the back wall of the upper box, creating the appearance that the toe portions of the shoe lasts have been pushed through the wall of the box. The lower box is painted blue. Six toe portions of shoe lasts emerge from the back wall of the box, creating the impression that they have been pushed through the wall of the box.
