Description: A narrow rectangular wooden form serves as the base for a piece depicting a snake preying on a mouse. A curved, thin bamboo form is attached to the base and swoops forward, representing the snake’s body hovering over its prey. A wooden clamp is attached to its tip, representing the snake’s face. Directly below the snake’s face, a carved wooden form in the shape of a mouse rests on the wooden base. A suede string is attached to the mouse, representing its tail.
Signed: “NSG” etched on bottom of base.
Note: Exhibited at Duncan Campbell’s art gallery in 1994 as # 5 “Snake and Mouse.” Cost: 1,250 British pounds.
