Materials and Techniques: Wooden board, wooden tongs, forks, spoon, wooden train tracks, wooden forms, plastic eyes.
Description: The form of a bird is mounted on a rectangular wooden board. A large wooden spoon with its bowl facing downward represents the bird’s face and neck. Attached to the bowl are facial features: two plastic eyes and a triangular wooden form, which represents the beak. The spoon’s long handle represents the bird’s neck. Projecting from the bird’s head are eight large wooden tongs that radiate to represent the bird’s crest. A large wooden form in the shape of an upside-down bowl represents the bird’s body. Two curved wooden train track fragments are attached, their arches facing upwards, representing the bird’s wings. Two wooden forks are attached below with their prongs facing outward, representing the bird’s legs and claws.
