Materials and Techniques: Wooden forms
Description: A variety of flat wooden forms are fashioned together to create the body of a bird. The bird’s body is the shape of a beehive with a triangular area cutout from it. Projecting from the top of the body is a wooden form shaped like a bird’s head. Two, identical crescent-shaped wooden forms are attached on either side of the area where the head meets the bird’s body, representing the bird’s outstretched wings.

Note: Exhibited at Camden Art Centre, 1980. Also exhibited as #20 “Phoenix” at Duncan Campbell’s gallery in 1994. Cost: 3,750 British pounds.
