In this space, the image of a bed (The Bedroom, 1888, Vincent van Gogh, Dutch, Netherlands 1853-1890 France, Van Gogh Museum) establishes the setting of Juliet’s bedroom. The lower-register of the scene is painted green, representing a landscape (the Capulet’s garden). In the right lower corner is the image of the statue of a man, who represents Romeo.
