Description: A variety of wooden forms create the form of a Madonna and Child. A circular wooden form serves as the base for this piece. A ring-shaped wooden form is attached near the top, representing the Madonna’s head. A thin metal bar curves around the top of her head, representing her halo. A triangular wooden form protrudes from her face, forming her nose. Two identical arched wooden forms flank both sides of the round base, representing her arms that cradle the child. Between her arms, a cylindrical wooden form represents the child’s body, while a circular wooden form represents his head. Two drilled holes represent eyes and a triangular form represents his nose. An arched wooden form curves around the top of the child’s head, representing his halo. Wooden forms are attached to his body, representing arms and legs.
